Hearts for Purity
Encouraging girls to be pure in heart, beautiful in spirit, and faithful to the Lord.
1 Timothy 4:13 & 1 Corinthians 7:34-35
Hearts for Purity was created to encourage young ladies in their walk with the Lord. Girls need much encouragement, especially during their preteen and teen years. Though they may live in a godly environment, without the influence of like-minded ladies and girls it can be easy for them to become discouraged.(Romans 14:19) Hearts for Purity was created to not only encourage by saying, “You’re not alone in your Christian walk,” but also to teach, imparting knowledge that a young lady might not otherwise receive. The atmosphere of this website is meant to be one that is safe, where girls of all ages can come to learn and grow in their faith. (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
“…pure in heart…”
Matthew 5:8 says, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” When we accept Christ as our Savior, He cleanses our hearts of sin that we may be used of Him. We must continually be keeping our hearts clean and pure, free from worldly distractions and influences(Philippians 4:8). Our lives are to be set apart for the Lord and His use, and therefore must be kept free of sin.
The world stresses much on the need for outer beauty, with little regard for inner beauty. “Do not let your adornment be merely outward: arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on of fine apparel; rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.” –1 Peter 3:3-4. Here, inner beauty is encouraged to be a priority. God desires that we focus more on becoming like Him. We should not care so much what others think of us, but what God thinks of us. The world’s opinion pales in comparison to God’s opinion. “Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.” –Proverbs 31:30
“….faithful to the Lord.”
“His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” –Matthew 25:21 Many Christians today fall away from their faith. They allow worldly influences to come into their lives, and don’t make God their number one priority. Christ wants young ladies to be focused on doing the work He created them to do. It can be easy for our love for Christ to become lack-luster and cold. Faithfulness to our dear Lord and His service is one of the many things taught and encouraged through this ministry.
1 Timothy 4:12
“Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in faith, in spirit, in purity.” One of my greatest desires is to help girls see the truth of this verse. Being young is not to be used as an excuse for shirking your responsibility as a Christian. God can use anyone, regardless of their age. In fact, there are ways that you as a young person can have far more impact for the kingdom of God than an older Christian could have. It is my prayer that more and more girls will serve the Lord faithfully wherever they are, regardless of their age. (Philippians 3:14)
1 Corinthians 7:34-35
There is a difference between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she who is married cares about the things of the world—how she may please her husband. And this I say for your own profit, not that I may put a leash on you, but for what is proper, and that you may serve the Lord without distraction.

In April of 2010, my family and I attended a family conference to hear speaker Jim Gardner from Answers in Genesis. As he spoke, I felt God moving me to do something similar. What exactly, I was not sure. The only thing I knew for certain was that God wanted me to do something special … Continue reading The Story of Hearts for Purity
